The body of Dr. Andrias Returned to Indonesia

Minister of Foreign Affairs Marty Natalegawa said, the current body of doctors Andrias Melkianus Karel (44), the victim was killed in a shooting incident in Mogadishu, Somalia was repatriated to Indonesia. According to Marty, the bodies will arrive in the ground water within the next few days.

"The last reports, the bodies of doctors who are already buried in Nairobi, Kenya. His body was dispatched to the country as planned, last night," he told reporters in Kemenlu Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (01/04/2011).

Marty said the ministry is still working with the Medecins Sans Frontiers (MDF), where Andrias work. He said the cooperation is done so that the return process until burial can take place smoothly. "We've worked closely with them (MDF). We expect the return process can run smoothly," said Marty.

As reported, Dr. Karel Melkianus Keiluhu Andrias, was shot dead by gunmen in Mogadishu, Somalia, Thursday (12/29/2011). The shooting occurred when Andrias bloody middle of humanitarian duties along with a number of other volunteer teams from around the world.

According to the victim's eldest son, Fae, when met at the funeral home in Tangerang, Saturday (31/12/2011), her father died in the warehouse.
